Dangling from a rope, fake blood splashed around her neck, Angelina Jolie's pose proves there's more to being a movie star than looking good on the red carpet. The actress was reshooting scenes for her new movie Salt in New York. Dangling from a helicopter, high above the streets, she showed she has no fear of heights. Hanging on: Angelina Jolie wears handcuffs as she films a scene falling out of a helicopter on the set of Salt in New York And despite the sub-zero temperatures, she wore just a white cotton shirt and black trousers. Angelina was called in after her Christmas break to re-shoot scenes for the forthcoming spy thriller after the script underwent a re-write. The changes came after her on-screen husband was written out of the film. Angelina has received visits on set from her family, while partner Brad Pitt has been looking after their six children. The couple have been spotted on a rare outing together, taking their brood to Broadway to watch Mary Poppins. Brad has also been out and about while Angelina has been working, taking their children to dinner and a video arcade.
Daredevil: Fearless Angelina films her own scenes without the help of a stunt double
A source told OK magazine: 'They're basically writing him out of the movie. 'In the original script Angelina watches her husband die in a scene. After they shot it they didn't like it for some reason and decided to change the script so they have to re-shoot some scenes.' In the new movie Angelina Jolie takes on the role of Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who tries to clear her name after being accused of becoming a Russian spy in an attempt to kill the U.S. president. Angelina replaced Tom Cruise for the part, which was originally written with a male lead, and the film is due for release in July 2010. Angelina Jolie - San Francisco Chronicle Posted: 04 Jan 2010 02:05 PM PST Angelina Jolie kids can't touch inheritance until they are 25Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt carry their children, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Zahara Jolie Pitt, as they leave the set of 'Salt' in Manhattan. Angelina Jolie's children won't be able to touch the money left to them by their late grandmother, Marcheline Bertrand, until they turn 25. French actress Bertrand left a large portion of her estate to Jolie's kids Maddox, 8, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 3 -- the three grandchildren she met before she lost her battle with ovarian cancer in January 2007. They were each left $100,000, but according to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week, the money has been placed in trust funds and the kids will only gain access to their inheritance on their 25th birthdays, reports TMZ.com. Jolie's three other children with partner Brad Pitt were not included in Bertrand's will: Pax, 6, who was adopted two months after his grandmother's death and twins Knox and Vivienne, who were born in July 2008. Bertrand, who died at the age of 56, left her $661,000 estate in the hands of Jolie and her brother, James Haven. Angelina Jolie wants Obama administration to take more action in ... - abc40 Posted: 07 Jan 2010 07:13 AM PST "I believe President Obama and his special envoy Scott Gration will do their best to bring peace to the region," Jolie, a U.N. goodwill ambassador, wrote in her OpEd story for Newsweek on Thursday. "Their policy, though, raises a number of questions. How is the Obama administration's approach to Sudan an evolution of justice? In addition, when the administration says it intends to work to 'improve the lives of the people of Darfur,' I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse." Brad Pitt calls Angelina his "soul mate;" so why not marry her? In the story, titled "Justice Delayed Is Not Justice Denied," Jolie passionately questions the administration and suggests it "should explore ways to bring [Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir] to justice." "On this Human Rights Day — the same day President Obama receives his Nobel Peace Prize — we must also remember those who have been deprived of their rights," Jolie said in closing. "Holding perpetrators of mass atrocities accountable is the best way to ensure justice today and peace in the future. Sudan is the place to start."
