London, December 10 : Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been secretly funding seven children in an orphanage in middle-eastern country Jordan for the past six years, it has emerged.

Rumors of the couple adopting another child had sparked last month when they were spotted visiting the SOS Children's Village in the country's capital city of Amman last month.

Now, SOS employee Aysha Shahin has revealed the 'Original Sin' actress may buy a house for the children to stay.

'Angelina will definitely support us by visiting again, possibly even sponsoring a house which will pay the children's expenses,' the Mirror quoted her as saying.

She added: 'She's a sweetheart, and one of our greatest supporters.'

The celebrity couple presently has three adopted and three biological children together.

ANGELINA JOLIE CRITICISES BARACK OBAMA AND RISKS HOLLYWOOD OUTRAGE - Daily Express

Posted: 11 Dec 2009 03:59 PM PST

While most of her Hollywood colleagues took every opportunity to voice support while he was running for office, Angelina Jolie, whose long-term partner is fellow actor Brad Pitt, kept quiet.

But she soon encountered the wrath of comedienne Roseanne Barr, who said: "Aren't you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture [four-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia whom the couple adopted in 2005] had parents who suffered and died because of the Republican Party's worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades?"

But 34-year-old Angelina has not been put off and this week launched a fresh attack on Obama, complaining he has not done enough to help the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, where she has worked as a UN ambassador since 2004.

"When the Obama administration says it intends to work to improve the lives of the people of Darfur, I would like to know what that means," the Tomb Raider star writes in Newsweek. "Besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse."

Sources close to the actress have previously said she is not a fan, believing him to be "all smoke and mirrors".

But she put politics behind her for the night on Thursday. She and Brad looked closer than ever as they laughed and joked at a UNICEF ball for producer Jerry Weintraub in Beverly Hills.
