| Brad Pitt traded in pot smoking for parenthood - Houston Chronicle Posted: 17 Aug 2009 12:29 PM PDT Hollywood actor BRAD PITT quit smoking pot once he became a father — because he wanted to be able to take care of his kids. The star became dad to Angelina Jolie's adopted son Maddox, 7, after they started dating, and the couple went on to take in two more children and have three biological kids of their own. Pitt admits he used to enjoy smoking marijuana when he was younger, but he put his pot-head days behind for good as soon he started to take on parental responsibilities. He tells U.S. TV host Bill Maher, "I'm a dad now. You want to be alert and my eyes used to glaze over when I did that." Pitt recently revealed the extent of his marijuana habit in an interview with Parade magazine, admitting the drug turned him into a "doughnut". Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino wants to work with Angelina Jolie after working with her partner Brad Pitt. The 46-year-old said: "I would love to work with [Angelina]. It just has to be the right character." Pitt, 46, appeared as Ltn Aldo Raine in Tarantino's new flick and he previously starred alongside Jolie when they met during filming of the 2005 flick Mr & Mr Smith. Asked if he would like to film Pitt and Jolie in a movie together, Tarantino said: "If I were lucky enough and could write something that's appropriate, I would love it if they wanted to." Pitt also said he would like to star alongside partner Jolie again. He said: "Come on... of course I would!" .
