Angelina Jolie has worked hard to build up her reputation from a tattooed bad girl to a philanthropic mother of six with a heart of gold. Now Jolie, 34, is reportedly getting back in touch her villainous side by negotiating a new Disney role -- as a classic fairy-tale witch.

According the Los Angeles Times, Jolie is in talks to star as the evil witch Maleficent in a live-action remake of Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959). But there's a twist: In the new version, the famous story would be told from the witch's point of view... and the Changeling star would get to play both hero and villain. Just business as usual for the blood-vial-wearing, orphan-adopting, husband-stealing, girls'-school-building Oscar winner!

The new plot echoes the hit Broadway musical Wicked, which casts the "bad" witch from The Wizard of Oz as a misunderstood hero. Still, Maleficent may be a choice role: She's one of Disney's most frightening baddies, a green-skinned beauty who calls herself "the mistress of all evil" and can transform into a fire-breathing dragon. We loved Susan Sarandon's flamboyant performance as nefarious Narissa in Disney's Enchanted -- but we bet Jolie as Maleficent could wipe the floor with her. And hey, after the 2009 Oscars, we know this A-lister can confidently can pull off green and black fashions!

This may be a tidbit of inside info for you to hang onto for when The Tourist releases next year. There's a scene in which co-stars Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie are portrayed drinking wine...and instead of grape juice, it's the real thing!

While we've been hearing reports that Johnny Depp feels "uncomfortable" working with temptress Angelina Jolie, this latest account seems to make it clear that they're buddies onset. An insider told a U.K. publication that on The Tourist's Venetian set, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp were drinking on camera!

"Johnny suggested it," the source said. "He often drinks alcohol in moderation when he films. He says having a few sips of the real stuff gets him into the moment of the part. He's allowed to do it because he's a genius and is still able to perform professionally." The source added, "Angie never drinks on set, so it was quite a surprise to see her getting involved. It's one of many seductive moments between them in the film."

Is it just on film? We're not sure what to think about the Jolie-Depp dynamic...but it is known that Johnny Depp loves wine -- he owns a French vineyard! Brad Pitt has been living-in with the Lara Croft sexy star Angelina Jolie for close to 5 years and we have often read about the bitter disputes that have transpired during the course. We have been witness to some events that show Angelina as the more dominant partner in comparison to the subdued Brad Pitt. The following points will throw more light:

Who can forget that slap that Angelina thrashed on his face when he was caught rubbing the back of their children's nanny. The news was splashed all over the gossip columns and it started a trend of gossips that lurked around their divorce lines. At that time, Brad was left with a red face and Angie, too, stormed away fuming in red. However, the redness of their face was for completely different reasons. Brad was embarrassed while Angelina had erupted like a roaring volcano.
Though, Brad was never such a domestic person, Angelina has taught him to become one and take care of the children. Brad had to mould his lifestyle to suit the one led by Angy.

Also, his greying beard (and a long one) is a dumb witness of Brad's defeat in the hands of the more powerful Jolie.

To sum up, I would say that Brad may not be a henpecked hubby but, surely, it's Angelina who sets the rules and makes Brad follow them.

ANGELINA JOLIE is turning to the dark side - she's in talks play the wicked fairy godmother in a live action remake of SLEEPING BEAUTY.

Fantasy filmmaker Tim Burton will direct the modernised version of the Disney classic following the success of Alice In Wonderland, and Jolie will add her star power to the project as famous villain Maleficent, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Alice In Wonderland has become America's highest-grossing movie of the year (10) so far after taking USD 116.3 million (GBP 77.5 million) earlier this month (Mar10) in its first three days on U.S. release.

Jolie is currently shooting The Tourist with Burton's frequent collaborator and Alice In Wonderland star Johnny Depp.
