They've been quietly working out their relationship for the past several years and Sunday in Venice, Angelina Jolie and her dad Jon Voight took their reconciliation public. With Brad Pitt literally along for the ride, Angelina and Jon got together for a water taxi ride through the Venice Grand Canal and RadarOnline.com has the photos. Also enjoying the afternoon were two of Brad and Angie's children. PHOTOS: Brad & Angie Take The Kids To Lunch In NYC Angelina and her father have been estranged since 2001 when Voight made a TV appeal for his daughter to get help for "her serious mental problems." Angelina wanted nothing to do with her father after that, and accused Voight of cheating on her mother. He is close to his family and when he was married to Jennifer Aniston he urged her to reconcile with her mother, after they became estranged. It's been FOREVER since we've seen Angelina Jolie with her father, Jon Voight, but alas -- they were together in Italy today.
The famous father/daughter duo were spotted getting off a taxi boat in Venice, along with Zahara and Brad Pitt (that's his right hand in the photo above). Being one of the most beautiful and most photographed women is definitely not easy especially if you are Angelina Jolie. The Lara Croft actress catapulted to fame not only because of her awesome histrionic prowess and jet set lifestyle but also because of her perfect pout…the to-die-for bee-stung lips which have many men to lose their sleep. This time, however, the media has got frenzied when photographs of Angelina Jolie revealing two mysterious muscles joining the right side of her neck to her chin came under the spotlight. U.S. Magazine dismissed reports that the pics (clicked on February 17 at Venice where she is filming The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp) were digitally enhanced or airbrushed saying that those protruding muscles were very much visible in the pics clicked at the Bafta awards last year in February 2009. Although as many five renowned doctors specializing in cosmetic surgery reiterated that the 34 year old ravishing beauty has never gone under the scalpel in her entire life some doctors opined that she must have gone for a minor Botox treatment or mini-facelift to tighten her lower face, neck and jaw which caused the tell-tale protrusions. According to Mosnar Communications, Dr. Elie Levine speculated that she's "received Botox to her face and likely her neck" because she shows "no wrinkles along the sides of her eyes (the crow's feet) despite that very large smile… and her forehead is smooth." The Bone Collector star, however, believes that she is ageing with grace. "Something else comes out of you when you become a parent and, as you get older, you start to see more character in your face," she told the UK Daily Mail in 2008. Yesterday while at the Alice in Wonderland press conference, Johnny Depp opened up and gave a few updates on two of his developing films. One of them was The Tourist with Angelina Jolie and the other was the big screen adaptation of Dark Shadows with director Tim Burton. With so many projects on his plate, what will get done first? There were a lot of journalists out there trying to get Depp's attention so thanks to Steve Weintraub and Heather Newgen for getting in the Dark Shadows and Tourist questions. First off, Depp was asked during the conference about the filming process for The Tourist. According to the film's IMDB page, it's currently shooting, but the actor said that's not the case. He stated, "I haven't done anything yet." And when asked about the official production start date, he said, "I think Tuesday." What would make an actor of Depp's stature want to take on this international thriller?
And when it comes to working with future co-star Angelina Jolie he stated,
Another major update the actor gave had to do with the big screen adaptation of the popular Gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows. It's said to be Tim Burton's next project, but Depp seems to have a lot going on at the moment. With The Tourist starting up next week, and Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides sometime later this year, where will he be able to fit it in?
That's three major movies set to go into production in one year, which means Mr. Depp will be spreading himself thin. If each shoot only takes a few months to finish he might be able to pull it off, but only time will tell. Do you think Depp can make Pirates 4, The Tourist, and Dark Shadows all in one year?
