Actress Angelina Jolie was seen in Italy with new blonde highlights in her hair. The lighter style is for her movie "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp.

Angelina Jolie has been spotted in Venice, Italy with blonde highlights running through her dark brown hair. Brad Pitt and their children are also with her for some family time. She is getting ready to film the new movie "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp.

Jolie, 34, is known for her long dark locks. However, she's added depth and dimension to her hair with honey-blonde highlights. It's not the first time she's changed her look for a role. In the movie thriller Salt, which will release in July, she sported a dark black wig. She plays a rogue CIA operative.

She also sported darker auburn hair in 2008. Angelina has said in the past that she looks better with age. In fact, most women believe they look more beautiful after having children.

"Something else comes out of you when you become a parent and, as you get older, you start to see more character in your face," she said in a statement. "Now, when I look at myself, I just see somebody at peace, and I see a mom, and I see my own relatives in my face -- and that's a kind of beauty that exists for everybody and doesn't disappear."

Brad and Angelina were photographed by swarming fans excited to see the star couple in such informal avatar. The whole family, including Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh were seen few days back heading out for some Gelato ice cream before the ride. They rented out an incredible home overlooking the water.

In recent years, the couple have lived in Cambodia, France, New York, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Their arrival in Venice comes after a low-key Valentine's Day for the couple. They have recently threatened legal action over reports they were about to split.

Hollywood Couple Started Relationship Five Years Ago

The Hollywood couple started dating in early 2005. Angelina was involved in a publicized scandal with Brad Pitt from the start. She was accused of being the reason for the divorce of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

The allegation was that she and Pitt had started an affair during filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. She denied this on several occasions, but admitted that they "fell in love" on the set. During an interview in 2005, she explained, "To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn't be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife."

While the couple never publicly commented on the nature of their relationship, speculations continued. The first intimate paparazzi photos emerged in April 2005, one month after Aniston had filed for divorce, that show the two at a beach in Kenya. During the summer they were seen together with increasing frequency and most of the entertainment media considered them a couple.

On January 11, 2006, Angelina confirmed to People that she was pregnant with Pitt's child and confirmed their relationship for the first time in public. They On January 19, 2006, a judge in California approved Pitt's request to legally adopt Jolie's two children. Their surnames were formally changed to "Jolie-Pitt."

Following months of tabloid speculation, Angelina confirmed she was expecting twins at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. She gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, on July 12, 2008. The rights for the first images of Knox and Vivienne were jointly sold to People for $14 million.

Angelina Jolie has made news once again! Nothing to do with Brad Pitt or her children this time neither is Jennifer Aniston involved. But it is the gills-like oblique bands in Jolie's jaw line that is bringing the spotlight on her.

E! Online and Hollywood Life report that there is something wrong in the latest photographs of Angelina Jolie which show three weird bands in her neck. The photographs are taken on 17th February 2010 at Venice where Jolie has gone to shoot for her upcoming film 'The Tourist'.

While much has been written on the photographs and the lady herself, let's wake up and smell the coffee! I read some comments like 'she is an alien' or 'a robot' or 'a fish'! Cut the crap! These, in fact, are bogus, we know.

Then pops up the possibilities of some facelift and surgeries! But no…there are around five doctors who have ruled out the chance that she had ever done a cosmetic surgery in her life and those bands can't be of bad surgeries.

So, is the photo digitally touched? US Magazine dismisses that chance as well. There are some other photos where those protruding muscles could be seen, say at BAFTA awards last year.

Now, perhaps the most convincing option! As reported by US Magazine and E! Online, it may the Botox treatment which could account for those bands. Botox paralyses muscles resulting in other not-so-used muscles to twist. The protrusion is due to Jolie's thin skin which gets pulled over her neck and jaw line.

Whew…that explains the three oblique protruding muscles in Jolie's neck! Hope, now you would stop searching for those pics of Angie…

Earlier this week, word got out that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had decided to relocate to Venice, Italy with the family for as long as she needed to work on an upcoming film, which would amount to about three months, it was being said. Photos of the couple out and about immediately surfaced in the media, including one (attached) where something was weird about Jolie's face, to say the least.

As per Us Magazine and a team of experts (meaning plastic surgeons and photographers who have never worked with the star), the protrusion she has on her face, where her jaw ends and her neck begins, is a tell-tale sign that she's had some sort of work done. Experts can't agree on what that might have been with precision, but the variants include Botox or some form of filler, or a minimally invasive surgical procedure. The option that she might be too thin, therefore muscles are more visible, is also being considered, the publication reveals.

Dr. Gabriel Chiu believes, "It's unlikely that the banding can occur from strong facial muscles alone." To this, Dr. Elie Levine adds that her face looks like she's "received Botox to her face and likely her neck, [as she shows] no wrinkles along the sides of her eyes (the crow's feet) despite that very large smile... and her forehead is smooth," the publication informs. Botox, as it must be common knowledge by now, paralyzes the muscles, preventing the wrinkles from appearing, but, in doing so, it might put more strain on other muscles, which, this way, become more obvious.

A mini facelift could also be behind the strange facial protrusion. "Dr. Chiu believes Jolie may have had a 'minimally invasive procedure' to lift and suspend 'the tissues in her neck, jaw line and lower face.' Dr. Brian Glatt concurs. 'Angelina appears to have had a procedure done to tighten her lower face, neck, and jaw line such as a mini or lower facelift,' he says. If she had a mini-facelift, Dr. Andrew Jacano says the skin was not lifted far enough back. 'Think of it like making your bed,' he says. 'If you don't pull the sheets tight enough, they'll appear wrinkled and bunched at the corners.'" Us goes on to add.

As noted above, it could very well be that Angelina has lost some weight, which would make some of her muscles more visible, experts add. Another possibility – though ruled out from the start by the magazine – is that the photo was altered before being released. Or, an even more plausible possibility: that it was simply taken from a bad angle and in bad lighting.

Recently, the 34 year old "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" star was clicked by the shutterbugs sporting an absolutely new and glamorous hairdo while filming in the romantic set-up of Venice. As has come to news, the recent makeover on the actor's part seems to be a call of the part she essays in the new movie "The Tourist." The movie stars the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp in the lead besides the "Wanted" actress.

The net in already viral with the photos of the new hairdo and the general consensus regarding the same. The lightened side-swept bangs seems to add a lot of allure to the facial features of the actress and the highlight seems to work wonders for her, adding a sultry zing to her dark hued locks. No wonder that Angelina Jolie is solely responsible for making brunettes a sizzling option too, besides the enviable scorecard of the redheads and the blondes.

This is not the first time that the intense actress has been reported undergoing physical changes in order to assay a new role. Previously too, such incidents have been reported.

How far this new hairstyle goes in order to add depth to her character is only going to be revealed when "The Tourist" hits the theater. Till then, the legions of fans of the sultry actress can safely go on drooling on her new hairdo and shower praises on her.
