The reports are in, and we love reading how much the stars make. The Hollywood Top 40 list of celeb salaries has come out, and Angelina Jolie has beat Jennifer Aniston...however their bank accounts appear to imitate life: they were fierce competitors.

Angelina Jolie made $21 million dollars in 2009, thanks mostly to her contract for Salt. The flick, which doesn't come out till summer, put $20 million in Angie's pocket. The rest reportedly came from royalties.

Jennifer Aniston came in just $1 million dollars behind Angelina at $20 million. Apparently Jen has to bust her tail a little more than Ange does, though, because this figure comes from her work on The Bounty Hunter and The Baster and $4 million in royalties from He's Just Not That Into You and Marley and Me combined.

Meanwhile, this should make you chuckle: Brad Pitt came in last place on the list with a 2009 salary of $13.5 million (that's like a tenth of what Simon Cowell makes -- how's that for perspective). The highest figure he saw last year was $4.5 million from Inglourious Basterds...that may help explain the broad-hopping!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt BRAD Pitt has "had it" with partner Angelina Jolie — because nothing the actor does is ever good enough.

Brad — who raises six children with Angelina — hates the fact Jolie is never happy and always complaining.

"Brad's had it with Angelina," a source close to the couple told Britain's Heat magazine.

"She messed this one up big time. He is never rewarded when he tries to do something nice for the two of them. Instead, he's greeted with an interrogation. 'Why did you do that? Why did you think I'd like that? I'm tired after filming. Where are the kids? You really thought this'd be fun for me?'

"Brad wants to make her happy, but she just doesn't let him any more."

It was recently claimed that Jolie — who's currently filming the thriller flick Salt – has become increasingly difficult to deal with on the sets of her movies.

"Angie is so guarded for obvious reasons," a source said.

"She's a very high-profile figure and prefers to keep herself to herself, but this often comes across as frosty, which isn't always her intention."

ANGELINA Jolie is becoming "lonely" and "insular" — and people are scared of her, it has been claimed.

Insiders say the actress — whose relationship with partner Brad Pitt is, reportedly, kaput — has become increasingly difficult to deal with on the sets of her movies.

"Angie is so guarded for obvious reasons," a source close to the star told Britain's Heat magazine.

"She's a very high-profile figure and prefers to keep herself to herself, but this often comes across as frosty, which isn't always her intention."

"Nothing's good enough," says another insider who has worked with Angelina. "She has to have her own area on the set that no one else can access. No one's allowed to talk to her….even some of the most high-up people are too frightened to say a word to her.

"Angelina's a true actress. She's charming when she wants to be, but she can be an ice princess at times. She regularly complains about every little thing and can even cut down her own true love, Brad.

"Few want to be around her. She turns on the charm and she seems to enjoy the power she holds over people and acts accordingly."

Guess we have all been privy to a rash of buzz fares off late, hinting at imminent unholy tidings in the 'Brangelina' household, and the prospect of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie splitting over rumored domestic turbulence and link –up rumors.

It ought to be mentioned in this context that the popular celeb pair, famously struck up a explosive 'match' on the sets of the smash hit action caper 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith', and became a raging buzz lure from then on, hogging headlines for their explosive chemistry and sizzling public appearances.

And with the dating rumors between Brad and Angelina, reaching a proverbial crescendo, the pair eventually went public with their 'mush fest.'

However, 'Brangelina' has not had it steady all the time and over the course of their four year companionship, there have been a fair few jitters along the way.
