LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are already parents to three adopted children – but is the Hollywood power couple planning to adopt from Haiti? "I'm always open to children around the world. We're that kind of a family; Brad and I talk about that," Angelina said in an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour, who asked the actress if she was planning to adopt from the earthquake ravaged country. Though she and Brad are open to the idea – the actress said that was not the focus of her three-day trip to Haiti. "But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means," she continued. "We're not here for that. We're here to see how we can help protect the children in the country and scale up the needs here." Angelina said adopting should not currently be anyone's focus when it comes to the children of Haiti. "For somebody who is an adoptive parent, I understand the urge to assist in that way," she said in the CNN interview airing this weekend. "Now is not the time, an emergency is not the time for new adoptions in any way." The couple's three adopted children consist of son Maddox from Cambodia, daughter Zahara from Ethiopia and son Pax from Vietnam. There have been many wondering if Angelina Jolie's trip to Haiti means she will be adopting a child. Fans and news media alike have been wondering, will Jolie take a child back with her from Haiti? Angelina Jolie spoke with CNN about Haiti. She has addressed the idea of adopting a child from Haiti. In the interview Christiane Amanpour asked Jolie "Look, you raised the prospect of yourself as an adoptive parent. Obviously, there's been a lot of speculation as to whether you will adopt from Haiti. Obviously, you're saying, not now, but will you? Is that something that you are looking at?" Angelina Jolie responded by saying: "I'm always open to children around the world. We're that kind of a family; Brad and I talk about that. But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means. We're not here for that. We're here to see how we can help protect the children in country and scale up the needs here." PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — Angelina Jolie began two days of meetings with Haiti earthquake victims Tuesday in her role as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency. The actress, representing the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, met with U.N. officials in Port-au-Prince and visited an SOS Villages camp for orphans outside the capital, where she was cheered by Haitians yelling, "Angie! Angie!" That same camp took care of 33 Haitian children after a U.S.-based Baptist group was arrested at the Dominican border trying to take the kids out of the country. It wasn't known if Jolie spoke with any of the children, and journalists were kept at a distance throughout her visit. The American missionaries have been accused of trying to take the children out of Haiti without proper documentation. The group says it was heading to a Dominican orphanage following Haiti's quake and had only good intentions. Jolie also toured a Doctors Without Borders hospital in a Port-au-Prince suburb, waving to onlookers. She and husband Brad Pitt have contributed $1 million to Doctors Without Borders for its emergency medical operations in Haiti. Jolie was meeting with Haitians employed in quake debris cleanup through a joint U.N.-U.S. Agency for International Development program before spending the night at a Brazilian military camp outside the city. On Wednesday, Jolie planned to visit the southern city of Jacmel, a camp for people made homeless by the quake, as well as a Save the Children relief supply center before returning to Port-au-Prince and leaving for the neighboring Dominican Republic. While she was there Angelina spoke via satellite with CNN's Christiane Amanpour, who asked if she wanted to adopt a Haitian child. "I'm always open to children around the world.
