Scoop: Brangelina to split? - San Francisco Examiner

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt came together in a firestorm of passion — but now their relationship is just plain stormy, according to author Ian Halperin, whose "Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie" comes out Tuesday. The writer, who shadowed the supercouple for five years, says they now argue "like cats and dogs" and will soon split.

"My sources say that they sometimes spent 18 to 20 hours a day in bed" at the beginning of their romance, the author tells the New York Post. "But sex eventually wears off."

These days, the photogenic pair are said to argue about "everything from politics to clothes the kids wear and Brad's 'atrocious habit,' which includes pot-smoking and alcohol," Halperin says.

He says Angie is possessive of her man and "won't let [Brad] out of the house alone. She's very guarded about him. I don't think she's evil, but she's manipulative, deceiving and cunning."

"I've heard that they've broken up so many times it would make your head spin," one source is said to have told Halperin. "There are apparently screaming matches, usually with her doing the screaming. Nobody really witnesses that part of it. They just see him leaving in a huff. But then he ends up coming back again, and nobody knows what happened to bring him back." (Um, we're thinking: see above.)

Hoff Hospitalized

Paramedics rushed David Hasselhoff to an L.A. hospital Friday after he suffered a seizure, Radar Online reported. The former "Baywatch" hunk was taken to Cedars-Sinai in an ambulance shortly before noon, after teenage daughter Hayley called 911.

"I asked one of the paramedics how David was doing and he told me his eyes were rolling back into his head, he was drooling and that he'd had a seizure," a neighbor of the Hoff said. Sources told Radar that he was drinking before and after the Thanksgiving holiday and was on anti-seizure medication.

If the rumors are true, the saddest part is that Hayley keeps trying to help her dad, and yet he can't seem to take care of himself.

Pained Posh?

Victoria Beckham's signature look is mile-high high heels. But are her Louboutins mangling the former Spice Girl's feet? According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, Posh is in terrible pain from bunions and may need surgery.

"Victoria calls her feet 'the bane of my life,' but she is worried about having the operation because she fears [it] will compromise her ability to wear heels and ruin her stylish look," the friend says.

Well, surely one of the other Spice Girls still has a pair of platform sneakers she could borrow.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie relationship was built on "incredible sex" and is destined not to survive their explosive rows, according to their unofficial biographer.

"Brad had never had such incredible sex," says Ian Halperin, the author of Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

"My sources say that they sometimes spent 18 to 20 hours a day in bed. But sex eventually wears off."

Now, says Halperin, the couple "argues like cats and dogs - everything from politics to clothes the kids wear and Brad's 'atrocious habit,' which includes pot smoking and alcohol.

"I talked to several people in Brad's family who wished they'd break up today. They're scared for Brad's safety and his well-being," he adds to the New York Post.

Another problem is Angelina's controlling nature and fiery temper, alleges Halperin.

"She won't let [Pitt] out of the house alone," he claims. "She's very guarded about him. I don't think she's evil, but she's manipulative, deceiving and cunning."

A former limo driver for the couple and one of Halperin's sources, said: "I was more worried about his (Brad's) safety than hers (Angelina).

"She really flew off the handle, threatening him and lashing out at him. I can't imagine how anyone would want to be with her every day, no matter how sexy she is. She has a temper like a cobra."

As for their future, another source, a woman who worked with Brad while he was shooting Troy - which, strangely, was filmed before 2005's Mr and Mrs Smith, the film on which they fell in love - told Halperin: "They were definitely in love, but that's where it gets tricky. If you want to know if they're still together, the answer depends on when you ask the question.

"I've heard that they've broken up so many times it would make your head spin.

"They'll be split within 18 months, probably sooner," a journalist source told the author.

"And here's how it's going to play out. They're going to split amicably, work out some kind of arrangement with the kids, and everything will be very civilized.

"Then you're going to see unidentified friends leak stories how Angelina couldn't put up with Brad's partying and drinking and his pot smoking.

"She's worried about the kids, and she's afraid it's not the right environment for them. Maybe he'll even take part of the blame and go along with that."
