She's one of the most glamorous women in Hollywood, so it's no surprise that Angelina Jolie has been tapped to take on the role of Patrizia Reggiano in a movie about the rise of the fashion empire, Variety reports.

The film won't strictly be about style, however. Reggiano was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci, who was gunned down in front of his apartment in Milan in 1995.

Director Ridley Scott is set to direct, and rumor has it, Leonardo DiCaprio may be the guy to play Maurizio, but a lead actor hasn't been cast yet.

Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie are in talks to play the king and queen of the Gucci fashion dynasty in director Ridley Scott's new movie.

Jolie is slated to play Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting to murder the fashion guru, reported imdb.com.

While Angelina Jolie would be soon seen in a movie Peace like a river, Di Caprio's next ventures include Inception and The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt.

Jolie In Awe Of Iraqi Refugees

Angelina Jolie has been left awestruck by the strength of the thousands of displaced citizens in war-torn Iraq after paying her third visit to the country on Thursday on behalf of the United Nations.

The Hollywood actress, a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador, met with four families who had been forced to relocate from their home in the district of Abu Ghraib to the west of Baghdad.

The locals spoke to mother-of-six Jolie about the hardships they faced and their struggle to cover medical costs for various illnesses, according to the U.N. Refugee Agency.

After hearing about one man's fight to raise his family in the tough conditions, the star said, "It takes a lot of strength for you to survive this life. I don't know if I would be strong enough to survive this."

Jolie observed some changes in conditions since her last visit, but admitted a lot still needed to be done before the refugees could return to normality.

She noted, "There are some changes. There are returns of displaced people, not a big number, but there is progress. This is a moment where things seem to be improving on the ground, but Iraqis need a lot of support and help to rebuild their lives."

Jolie has vowed to return to do all she can to help refugees rebuild their lives, telling the families, "I want to come back and find you in a better place and in a different situation. We hope that UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and the government will support you in getting a piece of land. You need help not because you are poor, but because you are the future of Iraq."

The star's trip to the Middle East began on Tuesday when she flew in with her 7-year-old son, Maddox, to attend the Arab Children's Congress in Amman, Jordan, where she was a guest of honor.

Angelina Jolie may star in the new "Gucci" movie,which is directed by Ridley Scott,according to Variety. Angelina is currently in talks to star in the movie,which is a drama about murder and greed of the famed Gucci fashion brand.

If Angelina decides to do the film,she would play the character of Patrizia Reggiano who is the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci. She was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting to murder Maurizio Gucci.

They reported that Ridley Scott also spoke with Leonardo DiCaprio about playing the role of Gucci,but he has yet to make a definite commitment to the role. Angelina's next big film is entitled, "Salt,' which is an action movie that hits theaters on July 23,2010.
