That might be the case, but a new report that states the actresses are pitted against each other for the lead role in Barbarella, the remake of a 1968 film, won't do much to dispel the comparisons between these beauties. "This will be the first time Ange and Megan have ever faced off for the same role," a source told MSN in Canada. "Ange is really feeling the pressure. Ange knows that to win roles she has to look youthful." It probably doesn't help Jolie's focus that her private life in reportedly in shambles. A totally unreliable tabloids claims Brangelina has separated. While fans can compare the sexy stars below, there's little doubt Fox is on a hot streak these days. She's starring in a much-publicized movie that opens on September 18 (Jennifer's Body) and she's hosting the 35th season premiere of Saturday Night Live. No wonder an insider said that "Megan is stunning and fast becoming a huge star. Angelina is petrified." Should she be? Who would you choose to rail between this pair of actresses?

Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie are set to battle it out for the role of Barbarella. Celebuzz reports that the bombshell actresses are both vying for the role in the remake of the 1968 sci-fi classic. Ange knows that to win roles she has to look youthful." Director Robert Rodriguez had originally hoped to cast Rose McGowan in the role, but poor box-office sales of Grindhouse put those plans to rest.

Just the other week, rumors flew that M.F. was pegged to be the next Catwoman in Batman 3 (something that ticked you readers off), and now we hear Meg has another role up her sleeve in the new Barbarella remake. But you know what the best part is? She's supposedly battling Megan Fox Sr., that would be Angelina Jolie, for the gig! It's been reported that Angie is feeling threatened by Meg because this is the first time the two have ever competed for the same part. "Ange is really feeling the pressure," a source tells MSN. "Ange knows that to win roles she has to look youthful." Meow! So is the stage finally set for the Megan-Angie showdown we've all been waiting for? Not exactly. "It's just a rumor," Megan's rep told us when we asked if Miss Fox was indeed auditioning for the part. Mothereffer, we were totally looking forward to this one! Despite Fox's annoyance that she's constantly compared to Jolie, let's face the facts: The two are strikingly similar. And we're looking beyond the gorgeous looks, tattoos and badass demeanors. They are brilliantly alike when it comes to media manipulation. Jolie has made everyone forget about her brother-kissing, blood-vile-wearing days; meanwhile, our dear Meg knows exactly what to say to keep up public interest. These two dark-haired babes are sheer geniuses! Even though this whole girl-on-girl casting fight is premature, we know it's bound to happen one of these days. It's every actresses worst fear (Angelina's included) to get older, especially when there is an almost clone a decade younger ready to take your place. So what do you think—should Jolie be concerned? Matt explains it thusly: Brad's fed up with Italian journalists asking when he'll marry Angelina Jolie, so he finally said he'd tie the knot when "George Clooney marries his boyfriend." "So this Italian journalist comes in and goes, Matt, is it true what Brad say?" Matt relates in his best Italian. "And I have no idea what he is talking about. But you know, I go, 'Yeah, of course it's true.' And he says, 'Do you mean George Clooney have a boyfriend?' And now I'm trying to keep a straight face and I go, 'Yeah, of course he's got a boyfriend. And he wants to legally marry him. We've been on him about this for years…' " Going back to Tuesday, Matt sees a man at a press conference with George. "This guy stands up and says, 'George!…I am a gay.' And this guy starts peeling his clothes off and he says, 'If you musta choose, choose me!' " And the rest is history. WATCH BELOW!
