Charlize Theron purring over Catwoman role - AZCentral.com Posted: 24 Sep 2009 11:44 AM PDT Charlize Theron would love to "kick (expletive)" as Catwoman. The Hollywood actress is thrilled to learn she is in the running to play the super-villain alongside Christian Bale and Sir Michael Caine in the upcoming sequel to Batman blockbuster 'The Dark Knight'. She said: "It's news to me, but that's kick-(expletive) news. I like that... I think that what has happened to that franchise is amazing, and director Chris Nolan is a genius. So I would be an idiot to not consider that." If the 34-year-old starlet accepts the role, she will be following in the footsteps of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry, who have both donned the iconic leather catsuit on the big screen. It was reported last month that Megan Fox was to be offered the part, but Warner Bros. moved quickly to insist no casting decisions have yet been made for the film which is based on the DC comic books. A representative for the studio said: "It's a rumor. It's not true. There is no script yet." Other actresses linked to the role include Angelina Jolie and Rachel Weisz. Jennifer Aniston Broke Down In Tears After A Film Love Scene Reminded ... - All Headline News Posted: 24 Sep 2009 05:39 AM PDT
September 24, 2009 8:35 a.m. EST Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Jennifer Aniston broke down after a love scene reminded her of Brad Pitt. The Hollywood actress - whose marriage to the "Inglourious Basterds" hunk ended in 2005 - was apparently so distraught about the romantic scenes with her "The Bounty" co-star Gerard Butler, she fled to her trailer in tears. She reportedly told her assistant: "I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me." On set sources claim this wasn't a one-off incident and the 40-year-old actress - who has remained single since she was dumped by singer John Mayer earlier this year - was "very fragile" during the last few months of filming. The source added to the New York Post newspaper: "While she enjoyed flirting with Gerard on set and put a brave face on every day, privately she is still very fragile." During production, Jennifer was romantically linked with Gerard, 38, after they were seen holding hands while on a dinner date in New York. When Jennifer and Brad's five-year union ended, there was speculation this was down to his growing closeness to his "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" co-star Angelina Jolie - with whom he now raises six children.

Review: Murky controls, goals leave `WET' dry - Seattle Post Intelligencer Posted: 18 Sep 2009 09:28 AM PDT Someone at Bethesda Software did the right math. Draft-age males play games, so a slashing, pirouetting assassin with a body rivaling that of Angelina Jolie seems like the winning combo for the new title "WET." But not everything in a successful game can be so easily contrived. "WET" ($60 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is a smart, aggressive, first-person shooter/slasher/fighter, but lacks a certain usability that sets the great games apart from the also-rans. I played the Xbox360 version of the bawdy and bloody game, but quickly tired of this latest twist on FPS control. "WET" means wet with blood. I was thrust into an ill-defined plot line as protagonist Rubi Malone, a buxom "fixer" dispatched around the globe to recover a wealthy man's son - and spare no lives doing it. Rubi is killing killers, so it's hard to know who is trustworthy or if there are any good guys or girls. No mind, let the carnage begin. Rubi's knockout figure and ability to perform athletic, gravity-defying moves while shooting is the alleged difference here. When she jumps, runs up a wall or slides along a floor, time slows for her and she bends backward and contorts her body to aim and shoot with accuracy. This was fun for about the first 20 minutes or so, then, once I got the hang of it, the moves became routine - and a bit boring. It was also too easy to lose my bearings after completing the tricky moves. I would stand there after twisting and turning and killing a foe and wonder, "Now which way was I going?" It would have been nice to have a small on-screen map or display with any mission objective details to remind me of my purpose on that level. At the beginning of each level, there's a quick camera look-around that's supposed to be informative by showing you what to grab, open or find. It didn't help much. There just was enough cohesion to the action. This game could - and should have been - better. It's got a nice feel, decent graphics and a sweet Quentin Tarantino flick feel, with a rough-edged rockabilly soundtrack. Sadly, it would probably make a better Tarantino movie than a video game. "WET" is rated "M" for mature. Two out of four stars. --- On the Net: http://wet.bethsoft.com/ This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie To Build Private Airstrip? - Starpulse.com Posted: 24 Sep 2009 08:38 AM PDT The couple and their six children reside in the sprawling Chateau Miraval estate whenever they are in the country, but are often hounded upon their arrival and departure by eager snappers. So Pitt and Jolie, who has a private pilot's license, have decided to look into buying land surrounding their property to build a secluded airstrip to jet in and out of France in privacy, according to New York Post's gossip column PageSix. A source tells the publication, "One thing he loves about the estate is the privacy it affords. Nobody can get near it. So with Angelina completing her pilot's license, their own airstrip would give them total freedom to come and go."
