| Brad Pitt’s £50k rodent residence - NZCity Posted: 08 Sep 2009 09:57 PM PDT Brad Pitt has splashed out £50,000 on a state-of-the-art run for his children's gerbils.
The 'Fight Club' actor – who raises six kids, Maddox, eight, Pax, five, Zahara, four, Shiloh, three, and 13-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with partner Angelina Jolie – oversaw the construction and design of the project, which boasts tunnels, platforms, seesaws and mazes. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Brad pores over architectural journals like other people pore over newspapers. He had so much fun putting the run together with his kids Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and Pax. "It's incredibly complex and cost a lot but Brad's more than happy with any activity that can combine his two passions – his kids and architecture." The rodents – who will live at the family's mansion in the South of France – were chosen by Maddox and Pax after their parents took them to a local pet store last week. The 34-year-old Tomb Raider star — who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt — is reportedly "petrified" that she and Fox, 23, are both auditioning for the lead role. "This will be the first time Ange and Megan have ever faced off for the same role," said a Hollywood mole. "Ange is really feeling the pressure. Ange knows that to win roles she has to look youthful. "Megan is stunning and fast becoming a huge star. Angelina is petrified." Fox recently revealed that she hates being compared to Jolie. "I think it's because she has tattoos really. I think a lack of creativity on the media's part," she said. "I am a brunette with tattoos, I curse and I have made mention of sex before. I joked about it, which people find outrageous so they want to constantly compare that to her. "You know, 'Shia LaBeouf is the new Tom Hanks', 'Rihanna is the new Beyonce'. Everybody is the new somebody, although none of us are any of those people so you just walk around with it and you live with it." Now, as reported in bold, yellow, capital letters on the cover below, HE ADMITS A SPLIT IS INEVITABLE! Does Pitt ever say this? No. Is there any source on record that describes Angelina Jolie as "demanding," as she's labeled by the following supermarket tabloid? Of course not. Is Jennifer Aniston - who still believes in love, people! - hoping the report of Brangelina's demise is accurate so she can win back her man? Probably. Is a story about Jaycee Dugard, who was kidnapped for 18 years, less important than an imaginary tale about Pitt and Jolie's relationship? Yes, according to In Touch Weekly... Meanwhile, in even less true tabloid news, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are apparently engaged. We hope they enjoy it. Connecticut-based sculptor Daniel Edwards has been showing off the unfinished bronze work. In addition to the Britney Giving Birth sculpture, Edwards last year unveiled a sculpture of Paris Hilton on her back, nude, with her intestines exposed and legs spread called "Paris Hilton Autopsy".
