BARBARELLA BABE WARS - Daily Star

Posted: 30 Aug 2009 07:05 AM PDT

HOLLYWOOD rivals Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox are getting ready to strip for battle over one of the most sizzling movie roles in history.

The lookalike stars will fight to land the part of Barbarella in a remake of the 1968 sci-fi classic that made Jane Fonda an international sex symbol.

Veteran original producer Dino De Laurentiis, 90, believes only Oscar-winning babe Angelina, 34, or Transformers temptress Megan, 23, can guarantee that the $150million project will become a monster hit too.

Both stars are likely to have to audition for the part of the latex-suited and thigh-high-booted mercenary of the future, with whoever wins having to dye their hair blonde.

A senior studio insider said last night: This will be the first time Angie and Megan have ever faced off for the same role.

Whoever gets the part will become the absolute number one Hollywood sex symbol on the planet.

Though they have never met, Angelina is said to be dismissive of her upstart rival.

In an interview with a US magazine, Angelina said: If its a comparison of looks, she can be the most beautiful but I have so much more going on.

However, Tennessee-born Megan has a lot of respect for Angelina, recently admitting she is frightened of her and hates all the media comparisons between them.

Megan told another US magazine: Shes a powerful human being. She could eat me alive.

Brad Pitt sleeps on the couch after a row with Ange - Adelaide Now

Posted: 30 Aug 2009 05:47 AM PDT

ANGELINA Jolie has sentenced Brad Pitt to sleeping on the couch after they had a heated row and he lied to her about quitting pot - which is Jennifer Aniston's fault.

According to OK! Weekly, Pitt and Angelina Jolie jetted to France this week to work on their relationship where they had a falling out.

"Brad has been adamant that Angie spend time with the family and focus on them with as much passion and energy as she does all her projects," a source said.

"Right after they got to France, Brad found a box of scripts that Angie had said she wanted to read. She and Brad got into a fight over it. Angie stormed out of the room and went into the bedroom."

The argument was reportedly kept away from Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara and the twins, as Pitt made like everything was okay with his kids.

"He played video games with the boys all night and made breakfast for the family in the morning, including fresh grapefruit juice for Angie," said this insider, who appears to have incredible access to the family.

Jolie has also reportedly blamed Jennifer Aniston after discovering that Brad Pitt used to smoke marijuana.

Jolie allegedly told her friends that partner Pitt lied to her when he said that he had stopped smoking the drug.

A source admitted to the National Enquirer: "Ange says it's Jen's fault Brad is still smoking pot, since the bulk of his drug-taking days were when he was with her.

"She's angry and looking for someone to blame, so Jen is always going to be a prime target."

The insider continued: "Angie, feeling she's been totally lied to, is piecing together all the other things Brad's not been truthful to her about and come up with a fairly long list."

Angelina Jolie going into politics? - Primebuzz.kcstar.com

Posted: 28 Aug 2009 02:57 AM PDT

Angelina was indeed a good actress. And it is not surprising that a powerful actress like her will pierce into politics. Well, there are already few we can name like Arnold Schwarzenegger. We can't deny the fact that we can be famous inshow business (aside from politics, business and sports). Hollywood attracts people like magnets. Many dream to be part of it but only few are given the chance. What is it really that attracts us in Hollywood fame? Isn't it that knowingness that we have succeeded, that we are admired, that we have everything we could want, that everyone is jealous of. I don't feel comfortable with jealousy, I never have, but what good would being a big celebrity be if there weren't people around to know you? To be a celebrity means you have been acknowledged for being somehow above the rest for something. These days I suppose you don't have to have any outstanding qualities to do so, and yet it is still in some way interpreted that way in our mind. If you are a celebrity, you are special. In the spotlight today in Hollywood is an actress that already proved her worth-Evan Rachel Wood. It was a surprise when Evan Rachel Wood was cast in True Blood. She won't be a cast regular, but Evan Rachel Wood is expected to guest on the show for at least two episodes. She will play the role of a queen of some sort. The show is getting stick as a callous attempt to cash in on the teen vampire craze, thanks to the popular Twilight series. Wood is widely acknowledged as an incredibly talented actress, and aside from a bevy of teen roles in mainstream productions, has featured in indie films and Broadway productions. Still, at this point, it's doubtful Evan Rachel Wood is doing TV work because she needs a cash until payday loan.

Angelina Jolie Considering Wanted Sequel - Slashfilm.com

Posted: 27 Aug 2009 02:04 PM PDT

wanted_foxobscured

Last time I wrote about Wanted 2, it was to talk about the fact that Fox, Angelina Jolie's character from the original film, might return. At that point, many things pointed to the liklihood of that actually happening being pretty low. But a couple of days ago I missed a piece on MTV (because I'm no longer used to them posting anything that isn't Twilight-related) in which director Timur Bekmambetov talks about having cracked an idea to feature Fox once more. Now Anne Thompson says that Jolie is reading the current script, with hopeful Universal execs waiting for her thumbs-up.

At some point, we'll have to agree that the spoiler window has closed for Wanted, but I'll play along for now and warn you that there are some of those after the break.

So: Jolie's character bit it in the first movie, and at the time she said that it was likely a permanent death. (Fox dying was actually Jolie's idea.) But she was responsible for a lot of the first movie's business, so it's no surprise that Universal wants her back. With Jolie, Wanted 2 is a tentpole. Without her, it's just another sequel. On the prospect of bringing the character back, Bekmambetov tells MTV:

If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax. We know how to do this, but it's still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head…But there has to be a reason for her to come back… and we know the reason. I think we found the reason for her to come back.

But as Thompson notes, bringing Jolie back won't be cheap. Wanted did surprisingly well, but if she asks for more for the sequel, will Universal pony up? And is the idea to bring Fox back really going to look like anything but a cheap Marvel Comics-style cop out of a legitimate character death?
