Apparently Brad and Angelina didn't appreciate the whole split-rumor thing.

They've been kissing and laughing in public for the last two weeks, and we thought all the PDAs may have been in response to the near-serious buzz that they've broken up. However Brad and Angelina never hired a lawyer to divide their goods, nor are they going separate ways -- and they're pissed at the paper that started it all.

Brad and Angelina share a lawyer named Keith Schillings, who has told BBC News that the Brangelina split report published by the British tabloid News of the World contained "false and intrusive allegations" that led to the story being "widely republished by mainstream news outlets."

While it's not clear how much Brad and Angelina are seeking, the alleged divorce lawyer they reportedly met with in Los Angeles has confirmed the following in a written statement to the couple's main attorney Schillings: "I have had no contact from... Angelina Jolie and / or Brad Pitt. I have never met... your clients or had any involvement with either of them. The foregoing is true with respect to all other members of this firm."

Meanwhile Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made sure to have extra fun for the cameras at the Super Bowl on Sunday -- get the pics here. But we thought Angelina hated New Orleans?

Looks like the Hollywood golden couple, Brangelina, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt have finally taken it upon themselves to squash the vicious rumors about their impending split by suing the News of the World newspaper after it published fabricated allegations about their relationship.

In a sensation story published on January 24, the newspaper alleged that the gorgeous Brad Pitt & the sensuous Angelina Jolie were on the verge of a £205 million separation & were meeting top LA lawyers for the division of their assets and for the custody of their children.

"The couple signed the document in early January. They agreed to share their money and assets and custody of their six children, all of whom would live with Angelina in the event of their parents' breakup."

The celebrated couple's lawyer, Keith Schilling accused the "widely republished" allegations "false and intrusive" besides adding that the newspaper in question did not meet "reasonable demands" adequate for a proper apology.

Pitt & Jolie had reportedly demanded for the retraction of the allegations, which had subsequently been "widely republished by mainstream news outlets".

A statement from Schillings Lawyers also noted that Sorrell Trope, labeled by certain publications as a divorce lawyer advising Pitt and Jolie on legal matters, had never even met the couple.

"I have had no contact from… Angelina Jolie and / or Brad Pitt," said Trope in a letter quoted in the statement."I have never met… your clients or had any involvement with either of them. The foregoing is true with respect to all other members of this firm."

A spokesperson for the News Of the World was unable to comment at the time of writing.Pitt and Jolie, who are not married, have six children.

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has met with hospitalized Haitian earthquake victims in the Dominican Republic.

Dario Manon is a spokesman for the Dario Contrera Hospital in the capital of Santo Domingo, where dozens of survivors of the Jan. 12 earthquake in neighboring Haiti are receiving medical help.

Manon says Jolie toured the hospital Monday and spoke with several patients. He told reporters: "She spoke with several children and a Haitian woman who recognized her and requested help."

The actress was accompanied by Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, a representative of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and the son of Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa.

Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency.
