Angelina Jolie, the 'Changeling' actress – who is currently visiting earthquake-hit Haiti in her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador – laughed off reports she and partner Brad Pitt are planning to take on the care of an orphan from the disaster-stricken nation, but admits they haven't ruled out expanding their family further in future. She told CNN: "I'm always open to children around the world. We're that kind of a family; Brad and I talk about that. "But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means. We're not here for that. We're here to see how we can help protect the children in country and scale up the needs here." Angelina and Brad are already parents to three adopted children, Cambodian Maddox, eight, five-year-old Zahara, from Ethiopia, and Pax, six, who hails from Vietnam. They also have three biological children, Shiloh, three, and 19-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Earlier this week, Angelina call for a restriction on adopting Haitian children in the aftermath of the disaster. She said: "New adoptions should definitely not be encouraged as an immediate response to the emergency. Haiti had many trafficking problems before the earthquake and now must keep a very close watch on the children. I would encourage as much support as possible to groups like UNICEF providing care for children in country." (c) BANG Five Filters featured article: Chilcot Inquiry. By Georgina Littlejohn Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have always been open about adding to their ever increasing brood. So it was hardly surprising to see the actress in Haiti this week visiting a group of children left orphaned by last month's earthquake. But while speculation was rife that she was there scouting for a possible addition to her clan, Angelina insisted she was only visiting Haiti in her role as UN Goodwill Ambassador. She was greeted warmly by the starstruck youngsters, who shouted 'Angie! Angie!' as she arrived. She arrived back in Los Angeles this morning, but before she left Haiti, she spoke to US news channel CNN via satellite and said she and her actor partner Brad, 46, had no plans to bring a child home. She said: 'I'm always open to children around the world. We're that kind of a family; Brad and I talk about that. ![]() Celebrity guest: Angelina visited orphans at the OS NGO Village for children in Haiti earlier this week 'But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means. During her visit to Haiti, Angelina also toured a makeshift camp in the southern city of Jacmel and a Save the Children relief supply center. She was also shown around the pediatric wing of Dario Contreras Hospital, the leading trauma hospital in the Dominican capital Santo Domingo. She said: 'It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades.' Dario Manon, spokesman for the hospital, said: 'She spoke with several children and a Haitian woman who recognized her and requested help.' Angelina and Brad, who have donated $1million to Haiti, have three adopted children - Maddox, eight, from Cambodia; Pax, six, from Vietnam; and five-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia. Angelina Jolie went back in time for a family Valentine's Day treat - the actress and her partner Brad Pitt took their three eldest kids out to dinner at the fancy restaurant the Tomb Raider star has been a fan of since she was two. The Hollywood couple celebrated the most romantic day of the year at Los Angeles' Benihana restaurant. A source tells Life & Style magazine, "Angie's been coming in here since she was two years old. She'd come here with her parents and brother and loved to sit at the table and watch the chefs cook her shrimp. "This time she came with Brad, Maddox, Pax and Zahara. She obviously took great joy in re-creating the experience of her childhood as the children enjoyed the spectacle of the food being cooked. They were all smiling and laughing." Jolie even dined on her childhood favourite - shrimp with vegetables and edamame. Fellow diners were left with no doubt that Pitt and Jolie are very much still together, despite recent tabloid reports suggesting they're about to split. One eye witness tells the publication, "Brad and Angelina looked so happy. He stroked her neck and hand, and they kissed several times and looked on proudly as their kids used chopsticks and enjoyed their food." (c) WENN Five Filters featured article: Chilcot Inquiry. Here we go again - the popular sport of Angelina bashing. She has become a bit of a cartoon villan these days! What she says in the link is perfectly sensible and she says clearly that the emergency situation is not the time for people to think about adoption. She has matured from a troubled teen/young woman into a fulfilled and genuinely maternal woman who really carers about children. She would be an even bigger star in Hollwood if she didn't put her career on hold on numerous occasions for her childen's sake. She doesn't adopt or give birth for publicity. She reportedly even split with Billy Bob Thornton as he was jealous of relationship with her first adopted child from Vietnam. Angelina adopted this child many years before an adopted child from a deprived country became a fashion accessory. She has done lots of good work for charities around the world including donating millions of dollars. Leave her alone.
