| Angelina Jolie patches up with estranged father - Hindustan Times Posted: 09 Oct 2009 07:37 AM PDT Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie has ended the bitter feud with her estranged father, actor Jon Voight, and is back in touch with him. The Tomb Raider star who's concluded "families have to be earned" is rebuilding her rocky relationship with veteran actor Voight after a long stand-off, the Sun reported online. "We're in contact now and writing letters. My parents gave me a strong social conscience as well as any acting genes I may have," she said. The 34-year old actress, who is bringing up six children with partner Brad Pitt had cut all ties with her father after his womanising ways ended his marriage to Jolie's mother, French actress Marcheline Bertrand. And Jolie insists she wants to raise her kids differently. "Both my parents were very focused on helping other people and supported charities all their lives. I don't want them raised as children who have 'movie star' parents. I grew up around that myself and I want to make sure ours are removed from it," she added. The pair fell out several years ago when Voight told a TV interviewer Jolie had "severe emotional problems". But the Tomb Raider star says she and Jon are now back in contact. "We're in contact now and writing letters," Jolie told British newspaper The Sun. "My parents gave me a strong social conscience as well as any acting genes I may have. "Both my parents were very focused on helping other people and supported charities all their lives." Jolie — who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt — says her kids' childhoods will be very different to her own. "I don't want them raised as children who have 'movie star' parents," she said. "I grew up around that myself and I want to make sure ours are removed from it." |

| Rep: Angelina Jolie Has Not Given Birth - Access Hollywood Posted: 07 Oct 2009 04:58 PM PDT PARIS, France -- Despite reports to the contrary, Angelina Jolie is still pregnant. Rumors out of France earlier today claimed the actress had given birth to twin girls. However, a rep for the actress told People that the report is false. "Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France," a rep for the actress said. A rep for Brad Pitt also denied the news. "It's not true," Pitt's rep told Us Weekly. French tabloids had earlier claimed that Angelina had given birth this past Monday in the Aix-en-Provence region of France. The twins had reportedly been named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane, their middle names coming from Angelina's late mother and Brad's mother, respectively. Earlier this month, Angelina's "Kung-Fu Panda" co-stars Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman helped break her baby news. Black confirmed she was having twins while Hoffman said she was due in August. Last week, Britain's Daily Mail claimed a military-style operation was in place for the birth of the Jolie-Pitt twins. The couple and their four children have reportedly been staying in a villa owned by the co-founder of Microsoft, Paul Allen – a home harboring two helipads, which were expected to be used for the birth. One plan reportedly would have flown Jolie and her children to the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco while Plan B, would have seen the couple take a Mercedes followed by security detail in two SUVs to a private hospital in Grasse.
